# Customizations

Three files, all read when the resource starts. None of them need the interface rebuilt.

### Colours

`theme.lua`, in the resource folder. A plain list of colours with a comment saying where each one shows.

```lua
return {
    accent = '#3ee0f5',        -- "USED x1", the split slider, the drag outline
    accentText = '#0b0c0e',    -- text drawn on the accent colour
    text = '#ffffff',
    mutedText = 'rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.62)',
    success = '#3ee07d',
    error = '#ff3b52',
}
```

Write colours as `'#3ee0f5'`, `'#3ee0f5cc'`, `'rgb(62, 224, 245)'` or `'rgba(14, 15, 17, 0.9)'`. Use `rgba(...)` where you want to see the game through a panel — the last number is how solid it is.

A colour you leave out, or spell wrongly, keeps its built-in value. Nothing breaks.

These are the inventory's own colours. They are not taken from ox\_lib, so the two can be styled separately.

### The BODY column

`data/body.lua`. The worn items down the left of the full inventory: radio, phone, ID, bag, keys, armour and the accessories under them.

```lua
{ slot = 50, label = 'Radio', icon = 'radio', section = 'body', items = { 'radio' } },
```

| Field     | What it is                                                                                                                                     |
| --------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `slot` | A real player slot number. Keep these at the **end** of your player slots. |
| `label`   | The slot's name                                                                                                                                |
| `icon`    | The picture shown while the slot is empty: `radio`, `phone`, `card`, `bag`, `key`, `vest`, `cash`, `mask`, `hat`, `glasses`, `gloves`, `watch` |
| `section` | `'body'` or `'accessories'`, which heading it sits under                                                                                       |
| `items` | The item names this slot accepts |

Slots are drawn two per row, in the order you list them.

Two things to watch:

* The numbers must be inside your player slots. With `inventory:slots 50` the defaults use 39 to 50. Raise or lower your slot count and these have to move with it.
* A body slot only accepts the items you list, and that is enforced on the server — so a slot listing `radio` will never quietly fill with apples.

To turn the column off completely, empty the list:

```lua
slots = {},
```

### Backpacks

`data/backpacks.lua`. A backpack is an item with its own storage, worn in the BAG slot, that opens together with the inventory.

```lua
return {
    autoOpen = true,
    wornOnly = false,
    bags = {
        backpack_small  = { slots = 10, maxWeight = 15000 },
        backpack_medium = { slots = 15, maxWeight = 25000 },
        backpack_large  = { slots = 20, maxWeight = 40000 },
    },
}
```

| Setting    | What it does                                                                              |
| ---------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `autoOpen` | Open the backpack together with the inventory |
| `wornOnly` | `true` opens only a bag worn in the BAG slot. `false` also opens one carried in a pocket. |
| `bags` | Each backpack item, with its slots and how much it holds in grams |

`slots` and `maxWeight` are used when a backpack is **created**. One a player is already carrying keeps the size it was made with, so making bags bigger later does not change bags already in the world.

#### Adding your own backpack

1. Add the item to `data/items.lua` with `stack = false`.
2. Put its picture in `web/images`.
3. Add it to `bags` here, with its size.
4. Add its name to the BAG slot's `items` list in `data/body.lua`, so it can be worn.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://fantasy-scripts.gitbook.io/docs/inventory-or-quick-stash-+-body-slots-+-backpacks/customizations.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
