# Compatiblity

fs-ui is standalone. No framework, no other scripts, no database.

|                     |                                                                                                                       |
| ------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Frameworks** | ESX, QBCore, Qbox, or none. fs-ui does not talk to any of them. |
| **Needs**           | Nothing.                                                                                                              |
| **Uses if present** | pma-voice, for the radio and call volume sliders. Without it those two sliders do nothing and the rest is unaffected. |
| **Works alongside** | Any script that puts blips on the map. They appear in the locations list on their own. |

### What it will not run with

**Another map script.** A satellite map, a map replacement or anything else that provides its own map pictures will fight fs-ui over the same files, and which one wins is luck. Run one of them.

**A HUD that sets the radar zoom.** fs-ui keeps the radar zoomed out, because the map picture is only drawn at that level — closer in, the game draws its own road shapes instead, which fs-ui hides, and the radar goes grey. If your HUD sets the zoom too, the pair will take turns and your players will watch the radar flicker. Let one of them do it: to keep your HUD's, set `Config.RadarZoom = false`.

### Keys

`ESC` is taken over for the quick menu. `P` is left alone, so GTA's own map still opens that way.

While another script has a menu open with the mouse unlocked — a phone, an inventory, another menu — `ESC` belongs to that script and fs-ui stays out of the way. It also ignores `ESC` for a moment after such a menu closes, so closing someone else's menu never opens this one by accident.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://fantasy-scripts.gitbook.io/docs/pause-menu-or-custom-map-+-settings/compatiblity.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
